Photos by Q tapped to Photograph Langston Hughes Painting

Photos by Q was honored to create a photograph of Neal Hamilton’s original painting of Langston Hughes that was commissioned to hang in the newly renovated Cleveland Public Library branch named after Mr. Hughes.

This photograph posed several challenges to create a high resolution digital photograph due to the medium used by the artist and the sheer size of the work that measures over 40 inches. Mark Quinn of Photos by Q used creative lighting as well as digital techniques to retain the subtle textures of Neal’s work while allowing a print to be made on a large scale.
