It has taken many hours to complete all the details and image work needed to allow Neal Hamilton to be able to offer high quality reproductions directly off his website. I am happy to annouce that last Friday all the details fell into place to allow the website to go live.

Paint Out Loud captures Neal’s vision of iconic rock stars and portrays them on canvas. Photos by Q has created photographic reproductions of these intense original paintings and allowed Neal to offer them as giclee prints. Neal recieved the first proofs from his printing vendor and is very excited to offer these prints for sale.

Creation of these digital files was a very exacting process from photographing the original paints to preserve the exact colors and painting techniques Neal used in his artwork to editing the finished files for production. Neal uses non-traditional techniques to create some of the details in his photography. These can range from razor blades to free hand dripings of paint to create his signature effects. (see detail below) I worked with Neal every step of the way to ensure the artist’s visions were captured and visible in the final print.

Check out Neal’s unique series of paintings on his website at www.nealhamilton.com.

If you are seeking high quality reproductions for your artwork. Call Mark at 216-219-5547 and lets discuss your project. I would look forward to working with you.

Clay is a very talented young man who is gifted in both academics and the arts. The family is a very tight group and I have known Clay’s father for many years and was honored to be asked to create these images for the family.

We did several shoots to create images within the areas of his high school that were important and also to include the family at this important time.

I am looking forward to seeing Clay when he returns from his freshman year of college.

We created some great images and had a lot of fun during the shoot.

I recently had reason to travel to Chicago last week and had an evening to explore for some personal photography.

I had desired to explore Millennium Park in the downtown area, and I found a wonderful experince to recommend to anyone. Within 1000 yards there was an orchestral concert going on, art, fountians, galleries and restraunts of all types of fare. I had desired to explore Anish Kapoor’s Cloud Gate the last time I was in the city but found the stained glass museum on Navy Peir and was side tracked.

Inspired by liquid mercury, this 110 ton giant has been photographed from all directions, but most of them I have seen were in daylight. I was looking for a different take on this 66 foot long by 33 foot high creation of seemless stainless steel that showcased the skyline of the city and displayed the mirror reflections of this work.

What many people do not display in their photography of this work is the distortion that is formed by the reflections under the work. I watched many people’s equilibrium put to the test when they looked and saw this:

I am looking forward to returning to the city the next time to explore more and share images here with you.

Had the pleasure of working with Eric and Mandy in preperation for their wedding next year.

They presented a real challenge in their choice of location for their photo session in choosing an alleyway. The lighting situation was very interesting as we had to work at a specific time of day to put the sun in a location where I could use reflectors to make use of natural light.

I am really working toward working with them for thier wedding, they are a lot of fun; and clearly strongly based in their relationship.

Photos by Q will begin posting QR Codes within the displays at our gallery within the Galleria at Erieview in Downtown, Cleveland, Ohio.

QR Codes are a coming technology that allows a lot of information to be communicated quickly among mobile phone handsets. Photos by Q has adopted the technology to allow additional information to be displayed with the photos in the gallery without taking up additional wall space to communicate the information.

This QR Code contains all the information you would want to enter about Photos by Q, but now just point your code enabled cell phone at the graphic on the screen and scan the information in! No typing, simple as could be.
