Photos by Q adopts QR Codes within Gallery Display

Photos by Q will begin posting QR Codes within the displays at our gallery within the Galleria at Erieview in Downtown, Cleveland, Ohio.

QR Codes are a coming technology that allows a lot of information to be communicated quickly among mobile phone handsets. Photos by Q has adopted the technology to allow additional information to be displayed with the photos in the gallery without taking up additional wall space to communicate the information.

This QR Code contains all the information you would want to enter about Photos by Q, but now just point your code enabled cell phone at the graphic on the screen and scan the information in! No typing, simple as could be.

Langston Hughes by Neal Hamilton

Photos by Q was honored to create a photograph of Neal Hamilton’s original painting of Langston Hughes that was commissioned to hang in the newly renovated Cleveland Public Library branch named after Mr. Hughes.

This photograph posed several challenges to create a high resolution digital photograph due to the medium used by the artist and the sheer size of the work that measures over 40 inches. Mark Quinn of Photos by Q used creative lighting as well as digital techniques to retain the subtle textures of Neal’s work while allowing a print to be made on a large scale.

The painting was installed on 2/12/09 at the branch located at 10200 Superior Avenue Cleveland, OH 44106. You can read more about the painting and Neal at his website

Neil & Kay’s Wedding, Jan 10, 2008

It was such a pleasure to work with Neil and Kay to photograph their wedding on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009. Kay had wished for a little snow to make photos fun and she was granted her wish and then some! It made for an intresting day, but it did make for some wonderful photography in almost a fairy tale setting. It also made for some serious fun as you well see in the photos below (we made snow angles!).

Formal photos were created at the Cleveland Courthouse which lends a great background to any event.

The reception was held at Landerhaven and a very elegant affiar was had by all. i am looking forward to sharing proofs with them when they return next week!

Jennifer and Joe had a very nice wedding day that even rain showers could not dampen. Their wedding was held in University Circle followed by a reception at Normady Party Center.

Photos by Q was choosen to record the entire event and delievered proofs today to an excited bride. Randi & Angelo’s Wedding Sept 6, 2008

Randi and Angelo had a very elegant affair on Saturday, Sept. 6th 2008. The wedding was a great event from the planning right down to all the events, everyone had a wonderful time and we created some great images from the day.

I enjoyed spending the day with them and meeting the extended of their family; it was a pleasure to serve both of you and I can’t wait for you to return to check out the photos from the day.

Photos by Q will be the official photographer for the Northcoast Flatland Battle to be held at The Galleria at Erieview on May 24th, 2008 from 9 am to 4 PM.

This sport is unique and rather new here in the United States and many of the professionals will attend this event as a way to tune up for the nationals to be held in New Orleans. Entrance to the event is free and open to the public so make plans now to attend and see this event.

While you are here, please stop by the Photos by Q Studios located at the E 9th Street Entrance to the building and say hello and check out some of the photos from the day. You can also look for them to be posted in an online gallery during and after the event on Saturday.

JoseV presented An Affair to Remember at the Galleria at Erieview though host Artist Review Today on April 25-26, 2008.

Jose’s work is an exciting line of art inspired by actual rhythms of the heart mixed with contemportary styles and designs.
